Terms and Conditions
By participating, applicants agree to comply with the below conditions:
- The applicant’s organization must be the owner of the submitted application.
- Applicants must be authorized by their organization to apply for the award.
- Multiple entries by one organization is permitted, provided that each entry is different and submitted separately in compliance with the requirements.
- Organizations can submit a maximum of two different projects/initiatives within the same category.
- The same project/initiative cannot be submitted for multiple awards.
- The owner of a multi-owned project must be agreed upon between the business owners before entries are submitted.
- The applicants must register their application in the correct award category.
- The Award Committee will not take responsibility for any error, communication line failure, theft, destruction, unauthorized access, or alteration of entries.
- The Award Committee reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants as required (including an entrants’ identity and place of residence), and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with the terms and conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Suitable forms of verification are at the discretion of the Award Committee. Failure to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a failure of those rights.
- The applicant must provide the appropriate digital access to their submitted application and PowerPoint presentation, and supporting documents for evaluation purposes by the Jury members.
- Applications must be complete in all aspects. Drafts, demonstrations, or unfinished prototypes or projects will not be not accepted.
- If for any reason the Award Committee determines in good faith and at its sole discretion that the Awards are not capable of being run safely as planned, it reserves the right and may in its absolute discretion cancel the Awards and recommence them on similar terms and conditions.
- The application or projects that won in the eGovernment Excellence award 2021 are not permitted to participate again in this years' award.
- Participating entities from the private sector need to own a Bahraini CR (or a virtual Bahraini CR).
- Incomplete, indecipherable, or illegible entries will be deemed invalid and will be disqualified.
- When applying, applicants are obliged to agree to the Award guidelines.
- All information provided by the candidates will be kept confidential and used only for the purpose of evaluation. Jury members and Award Committee will be asked to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).
- All materials submitted will become the property of the Award Committee and will not be returned. One copy of the submitted product will be archived for the record. No commercial use of this archive will be made.
- The applicants must own the copyright of all pictures, sounds, contents etc. related to the production of their project. All software used must be licensed.
- Jury members have the right to reject submissions without providing any reasons. The Award Committee cannot be held liable for rejecting any submission.
- Employees and immediate families of the Information & eGovernment Authority are ineligible to enter.
- Should the entrant’s contact details change during the period of the promotion, it is the entrant’s responsibility to notify the Award Committee.
- The jury members might require candidates to present their entries in a one-on-one meeting. You are hence advised to be prepared for a presentation on your submission.
